Lower Longswamp

The village of Lower Longswamp lies along State Street in Longswamp Township, between the villages of Mertztown and Seisholtzville, an area primarily located in Hereford Township. Information in this booklet focuses on the area of State Street between Longswamp Road and Schlossburg Street. A village landmark is the Longswamp Bed & Breakfast, originally the home of Horatio Trexler and located at the intersection of State Street and Smith Street/Longswamp Road.
